About Our Plants for Sale…

We believe gardening should be fun and plants should return each year – with a minimum of fuss – or feed us.

Lael’s Moon Garden Nursery stocks outdoor hardy plants and edible landscaping including many unusual varieties and ‘good-doers.’ We stock large trees as well as smaller sizes. A bonus is the extensive display and test garden showing mature plantings and ‘work in progress’. All this will help you get the right plant in the right place in your own garden.

–Sustainability is why we stock perennial plants (ones that return each year). Or edible landscaping that sustains us.

–We grow what we sell so we know our plants will perform well in this area.

–Nursery offers the widest selection of outdoor hardy plants and edible landscaping in the area.

–We buy locally grown plants and starts whenever possible.

— We follow the right plant for the right place approach. By choosing plant varieties suited to our maritime climate, many pest and disease problems are avoided.

–We are chemical minimalists, using the least toxic remedies and only when needed.

–Improving soil health is the best thing you can do for your plants; the nursery carries organic compost to mix with your soil.

–We offer a plant locator service to find hardy plants.

–We recycle nursery pots and donate many to our local master gardeners and school programs.

–Protect your Investment

Unlike manufactured articles, plants are living things that require some easy care to do well. Because we have no control over what happens to them after they leave our care, we can offer no guarantee. Attention to a few simple planting and watering instructions will make your new plants flourish. Here’s what you need to do…!
